I am a postdoc at the Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS), University of Copenhagen. My research explores how images can reflect, reproduce, or challenge broader social and political dynamics. I am particularly interested in experimenting with social data science methods that can help study these dynamics at scale – without losing sight of nuance, context, or critical grounding.

I recently received the Internationalisation Fellowship from the Carlsberg Foundation for my project A Taste of Machine: Exploring Algorithmic Curations of (In)Visibility on Digital Platforms. This project explores how subtle signs of taste – encoded in visual social media content – become thresholds through which algorithms control the visibility and invisibility of users across geopolitical and cultural contexts.
